Focus Question One
The primary changes/differences that exist with today's p-16 learner is that they have access to a tsunami of information and they try to absorb it all with a half sheet of bounty (texteeze – instant gratification). We don't speak much about the journey and the enrichment that can be drawn from the travel experience. I believe that technology and the processes and joys of learning can peacefully co-exist. I trust that cohort 3 will join with others in finding the path :).

Well spoken, Renee. I think it's important to realize that technology can be one of the vehicles that takes us on the journey, but it is not the destination.
ReplyDeleteYou have something there Renee. The journey to the place is the valuable part. We want to go to heaven but the journey to get there should be enjoyed. Our lives are our journey. We should stop and smell the roses. I went to school for a year to get my Master's in Educational Administration. I started in January and finished in December. I wanted to finish so I could get a job as an assistant principal. I would have had a better experience if I would have taken my time and digested the information that I was learning. There were experiences that I could have connected once I understood concepts better.
